Su instagram ci siamo imbattuti in disegni assurdi dal gusto psichedelico e retrò allo stesso tempo. Ecco Tyler Spangler, un designer americano che realizza opere surreali e psichedeliche partendo da vecchie foto, soprattutto ritratti, modificandone forme e colori o aggiungendo disegni alle immagini originali. Tutto nasce dalla sua passione per il gusto caotico dei vecchi volantini punk e dal lavoro surreale di artisti come Dalì. Lui cerca di fondere questi due stili in un unico lavoro.
Presto Tyler Spangler sarà anche protagonista di un progetto che vedrà i suoi lavori diventare colorate stampe per teli da mare e calzini...ma questa è un'altra storia! 

Abbiamo chiesto a Tyler quando e come è iniziato tutto...

Can you you exactly  remember when you choose your unique style and technique that makes your works so original from other artists?
I knew that I loved chaotic work like old punk flyers and also surreal work like Dali so I just try to blend those styles and add a ton of bright colors. I am also a very sarcastic person so I think that is in my work too adding a bit of double sided curiosity to the work.

What do you what to communicate?
I want to communicate that there are always multiple sides to everything. Everything has a unique meaning to each person.

Do you have any project for the next future?
I am in the process of releasing a beach towel with a really awesome pattern on it as well as a sock collaboration!
