Questo è il terzo anno che l’agenzia creativa americana Beutler Ink affida a un’illustratore il compito di raccontare i 365 giorni appena trascorsi attraverso un poster affollatissimo di personaggi, simboli e prodotti, ciascuno in rappresentanza di un evento che, nel bene e a volte nel male, ha segnato la cultura pop ma anche la società più in generale, ovviamente col punto di vista di chi vive oltreoceano e a cui di quel che capita nel resto del mondo gliene frega relativamente poco (un asiatico si ritroverà molto poco nell’illustrazione, un europeo già di più, soprattutto nei fatti di cronaca e di economia: vedi Charlie Hebdo, vedi attacchi di Parigi, vedi la crisi economica greca; mentre per l’Africa...beh sappiamo tutti che l’Africa a livello mediatico purtroppo è come se non esistesse).
Dopo Mario Zucca (nel 2013) e Noah Smith (2014), quest’anno la scelta è caduta sull’artista losangelino Luke McGarry che, visto il suo portfolio pieno di ritratti di celebrità, dev’essersi ritrovato a suo agio nell’immortalare gli sportivi che hanno segnato il 2015, i film-evento come Mad Max e l’onnipresente Star Wars, i dischi che hanno venduto di più, i libri più chiacchierati, i videogame, i vincitori degli Oscar, i morti famosi, i candidati alle primarie USA, gli hashtag, ecc.
Nel poster è praticamente impossibile riconoscere tutto a prima vista, per questo vi riportiamo di seguito i 143 elementi rappresentati. Ed ora provate a trovarli tutti.
